America wins Nobel chemistry prize

Gunnar Oquist permanent secretary of the Royal Academy of Sience (L) and Professor Lars Thelander announce the Nobel prize winner for chemistry in Stockholm October 4 2006. American Roger Kornberg the son of a Nobel laureate won the 2006 Nobel prize for chemistry on Wednesday for describing gene copying in cells which can give insight into illnesses such as cancer and heart disease.
