Sony troubles grow with battery recalls (AP)

Japanese electronics giant Toshiba said it will recall 340000 laptop computers worldwide due to problems with batteries made by rival Sony which is already reeling over defective products. Toshiba will replace the batteries installed in eight models of its AP - Sony urged a dozen laptop computer makers Friday to recall more of its batteries that could overheat the latest headache for the electronics company struggling to regain its luster as the world's premier electronics brand.
